What is Regenerative Farming?
We imagine you’ve heard this word used a lot and we want to make sure we’re clear on what it is and how we put it into practice here at Harvest House.
Regenerative farming is a way of growing food that helps the soil, plants, animals, and water stay healthy.
Instead of taking from the land until it’s worn out, regenerative farmers give back to the land. They do things like:
Keep living roots in the soil
Move animals around so the grass can regrow
Grow different kinds of plants together
Avoid harmful chemicals
All of this helps the soil stay rich and full of life. Regenerative farming doesn’t just grow food — it improves the land so it gets better every year.
